While Rokuyō is quite unique in the mystical world of occultism, this page looks at Rokuyō's tenuous link with other pseudoscientific systems.

These correlations show the mapping coherently without pretending equivalence.
Regarding lunar phases, Rokuyō is derived from the traditional lunisolar calendar, so each of its six energies loosely echoes typical waxing/waning emotional or ritual qualities.
The Japanese zodiac doesn't tie specific Rokuyō days to specific animals, but astrologers use the 12-animal cycle as an energy wheel. The active, quick or social signs (Mouse, Horse, Dragon) align with favourable days. In contrast, the heavy or inward signs (Sheep, Cow) align with cautious or low-energy days.
Similarly, the Western astrology themes are archetypal energies, not zodiac sign assignments. Aries is associated with action, Libra with social harmony, Saturn with restriction, Jupiter with opportunity, and Mars with conflict.
As with lunar phases and astrology, numerological interpretations describe the essence of a person, their qualities such as creativity, stability, leadership, adventure, compassion, etc. In contrast, Rokuyō describes the mood or character of a day, and whether it’s good or bad for certain activities.
